How an Acoustic Generator Container is built – Tell me more
Generator installation – First things first
Diesel Generators or similar power production unit – what do you need?
First the size of the generator needs to be finalised according to the sites critical load requirement..
Both its power output – 100kVA, 150kVA, 500kVA, 1000kVA and so on
And then its final dimensions once mounted on the skid.
Next what capacity of fuel tank is required? Day tank or a number of days
Then what sound level of silencer required? 80dbA @ 1 Metre or less.
Then we can begin on welding the basic box frame of the acoustic container.

The correct frame metal gauge has to be chosen at the beginning of the construction as this will take the final weight and allow the total container with its load to be lifted using the lifting eyes. That can be anything up to 20 tonnes held by just 4 metal eyes.

The container begins to take shape

The metal cladding is added

Louvers are first made and then welded into position

The floor is added and strengthened

Sounding proofing panels are added on all internal surfaces – thickness and construction dependent on the final dbA requirement
