Power Supplies - Power cut causes pumping station failure
So we thought that nothing could stop our water supplies?
A faulty connection in an overhead line caused the power cut, stopping the electricity supply to approximately 5,000 homes in South Yorkshire.
The power failure also affected the pumping station in Aughton which, in turn, left 60000 people without water.
It took hours before supplies started to return.
