Leading UK power protection specialist celebrates double win: national industry recognition and a feature spread in Building & Facilities News

Power Continuity Ltd is proud to announce it has been named Emergency Power Supplies Company of the Year 2026 by Building & Facilities News. The award recognises the company’s continued growth, technical expertise, and commitment to keeping the UK’s critical infrastructure running without interruption.

The achievement is celebrated in a two-page feature — “Keeping Facilities Power On: The Power Continuity Approach to Uninterrupted Operations” — published across pages 16 and 17 of the latest Building & Facilities News issue.

A trusted name across critical sectors

From data centres and healthcare facilities to industrial premises and commercial offices, Power Continuity designs, installs, and maintains uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), standby generators, battery backup solutions, and associated power protection services for organisations where downtime is not an option.

The feature highlights the bespoke nature of the company’s work: rather than offering standardised, off-the-shelf packages, every system is engineered around the specific requirements of each client, backed by an in-house engineering team that manages design, build, and installation from initial consultation through to ongoing technical support.

Over the past 12 months, Power Continuity has delivered numerous large-scale projects — including work for National Power Stations and Government Nationally Critical Infrastructure sites — while growing UPS system installations to over four megawatts and doubling its number of highly critical clients requiring advanced protection.

In their own words

Speaking on the award, Projects Director John East said the recognition reflects the company’s people as much as its technology:

“Whether we’re delivering installations at the summit of Mount Snowdon, supporting critical infrastructure within NHS hospitals, or providing resilient power solutions for Blue Light emergency response services, every system is designed, engineered and installed to the highest possible standards.”

He added that responsiveness sits at the heart of the company’s reputation:

“Our commitment is simple: to provide reliable, uncompromising NO BREAK power protection so that our clients can operate 24-7 with complete confidence, knowing that when it matters most, we are their POWER CONTINUITY.”

Looking ahead

The feature also points to a period of significant growth ahead, as demand accelerates across the UK building and facilities sector. Power Continuity is expanding its workshop capacity, growing its mobile engineering fleet, and investing in both temporary and permanent standby power solutions to meet rising expectations around resilience — particularly as reliance on digital infrastructure and automatic, always-on power protection continues to increase.
